Job Description

  • Overall Strategy: Design, propose and secure management approval for strategies and action plans covering preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance to improve the performance, reliability, and lifespan of all renewable energy assets across India in a cost-effective and profitable manner, covering technology, human resources, and operations.
  • Technology: Explore the latest technology for improved efficiency of assets and stay updated on technological changes impacting the industry Identify gaps/shortfalls vs existing
  • Design a holistic, automated, robust and industry-benchmarked set of reporting, tools and mechanisms.
  • Set a viable (both operationally and financially) action plan.
  • Get the action plan approved by the management
  • Monitoring: Analyze the various indicators monitoring the assets (availability, power curves, production gaps, etc.) in order to identify and design corrective action plans and subsequently, measure the effectiveness of the actions taken.
  • Revenue: Timely billing and collection of generation revenues, in line with the payment terms of the PPA.
  • DSM Settlement: Benchmark scheduling forecast against best industry practices and continuously improve its accuracy, reliability and effectiveness. Ensure timely settlement of DSM amounts with respective SLDCs. Ensure timely deployment of Forecasting Agency/QCA to forecast generation schedule and submit the generation schedule to the respective SLDC.
  • Relationship Management: Represent the client vis-à-vis external contacts, identifying the matters and setting an internal consensus on the strategy towards these parties (discoms, govt agencies, lessors, operators, suppliers of equipment under warranty, town halls, residents, administrations, local communities)
  • Compliance: Ensure timely renewal of permits and clearances, land lease payment by various SPVs to Govt., and timely payment of land lease rents to the farmers.
  • Manage regulatory compliance (breakdowns, claims, technical expertise) with the support of internal and external experts
  • Manage grid security requirement, including the implementation and monitoring of necessary cyber security measures
  • Ensure that all land related/property taxes are paid by SPVs to respective state govt.
  • Reporting: Prepare all internal and external portfolio monitoring reports for the Contracting Authority, including performance, events, and related updates.
  • Branding: Devise a mechanism to brand O&M sites as an Industry model.
  • Budgeting: Contribute to the OPEX budget setting and costs monitoring along with Management and Finance

The Successful Applicant

  • B. Tech from a reputed college.
  • 18-25 years of relevant experience in power sector, preferably in renewable (Solar PV+BESS)
  • Ability to work in a fast-growing Company and align with Company's initiatives
  • Independent, hands-on, and driven with the aptitude and attitude to learn, embrace and adapt to changes
  • Dedication to the transaction/projects you are handling, with a problem-solving approach and ability to work with relevant stakeholders to drive successful completion of transactions/projects
  • Creative thinking skills
