The organisation is strengthening its finance team to enhance oversight, coordination and governance across its foreign subsidiaries.Job DescriptionBased in Mumbai and reporting directly to the Group CFO, the incumbent will support the financial oversight and governance of the organisation's foreign subsidiaries.Key responsibilities will include:Support the Group CFO on finance, controllership, transaction and regulatory matters relating to foreign subsidiaries.Act as a bridge between overseas entities, professional advisers and the India headquarters.Develop an understanding of applicable local laws, taxation and regulatory requirements, and keep the Group CFO informed of relevant developments and implications.Coordinate with overseas finance teams and external legal, tax, audit and accounting advisers.Review accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, financial controls and cross-border matters concerning foreign subsidiaries.Support the review of transactions, intercompany matters and other financial activities involving overseas entities.Coordinate with internal teams on FEMA, international taxation, legal and other cross-border requirements.Review subsidiary financial statements, closing numbers and consolidation inputs for accuracy before submission to the Group CFO.Track agreed actions across foreign subsidiaries and support their timely closure.Provide clear and actionable country-level inputs to support the Group CFO's decision-making.Undertake international travel based on business requirements.The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate should have:Chartered Accountant qualification preferred. Candidates with relevant finance and legal or regulatory exposure may also be considered.Approximately 5 to 15 years of relevant experience.
