The organisation partners with major OEMs worldwide and continues to invest significantly in advanced manufacturing technologies, product innovation, lightweighting solutions, and sustainable mobility initiatives.Job DescriptionReporting to senior leadership, the Head of Advanced Engineering(Die Casting) will be responsible for driving technology leadership, product development, process innovation, and strategic growth of the aluminium die casting portfolio.Key responsibilities include:Lead the Advanced Engineering for Die Casting business, developing long-term technology roadmaps.Understand customer applications and translate performance requirements into optimised material and mechanical property specifications.Drive alloy design, material selection, and metallurgical innovations for high-performance automotive applications.Develop and optimise aluminium alloy compositions to achieve targeted strength, durability, thermal performance, and manufacturability requirements.Introduce and implement world-class aluminium die casting technologies and best practices.Evaluate emerging manufacturing technologies, materials, and processes to enhance product competitiveness.Lead technology transfer programmes from global partners, with preference for exposure to China-based manufacturing ecosystems.Establish robust metallurgical standards, validation methodologies, and process controls.Drive cost optimisation, productivity improvement, and quality enhancement initiatives across die casting operations.Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.The Successful ApplicantBachelor's or Master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.Extensive experience in aluminium die casting, preferably within the automotive or automotive component industry.Proven expertise in metallurgy, material science, alloy development, and material selection.Strong capability to convert customer application requirements into material specifications and engineering solutions.Deep understanding of aluminium casting alloys, microstructure optimisation, heat treatment, and failure analysis.Demonstrated experience in developing new alloy compositions and driving metallurgical innovation.Exposure to international technology transfer programmes, particularly involving China, will be highly advantageous.Strong knowledge of modern die casting technologies, including high-pressure die casting, vacuum die casting, simulation tools, lightweighting solutions, and advanced manufacturing practices.Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.Proven track record of leading engineering, R&D, or advanced manufacturing functions.What's on OfferA permanent role in PuneOpportunity to lead advanced engineering projects.Work in the automotive industry with a focus on innovation.If you're interested, you can apply for the role.Quote job refJN-092026-7101627Job summaryFunctionEngineering & ManufacturingSub SectorManufacturing operationsWhat is your area of specialisation?Industrial / ManufacturingLocationPuneJob TypePermanentJob ReferenceJN-092026-7101627
