Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for key categories to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction and innovation within the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all procurement processes.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal terms and conditions.
  • Analyse procurement data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team to achieve departmental goals.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • A strong academic background in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in procurement and supply chain operations within the industrial or chemical industry.
  • Exceptional negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions to optimise procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and stakeholders effectively.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in the industry.
  • Proficiency in procurement and supply chain management software.
