The Controller, Employee Chargebacks will oversee employee time-charge process from the GCC in Gurugram, reviewing, improving, and managing submissions by employees across all offices. This role requires strong attention to detail, accounting knowledge, and the ability to collaborate closely with US-based Management Company Finance team.

Job Description

  • Review and continuously improve employee time-charge process, identifying opportunities for process optimization and accuracy enhancement
  • Review time-charge submissions by employees across all global offices.
  • Summarize and journalize employee time-charge submissions in accounting systems
  • Follow up with employees on incomplete, missing, or incorrect time-charge submissions
  • Prepare and deliver analytics and reports on time-charge submission patterns and trends
  • Coordinate closely with (US) and the Management Company Finance team on reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all employee time-charge data and supporting documentation.
  • Support process improvements to automate or streamline the time-charge workflow

The Successful Applicant

  1. 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or fund administration.
  2. Prior experience in a shared services centre, fund administration, or banking environment strongly preferred
  3. Strong understanding of management company cost allocation and employee time-charge frameworks preferred.
  4. CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification required.
  5. Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
  6. 3 hours per day overlap with UK business hours required.
  7. University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
