Job Description

Portfolio and product strategy - Help define the category and occasion we are playing for. Shape the entry SKU set (formats, pack sizes) and the framework for kill-or-scale decisions.

* Pricing and unit economics - Help benchmark the unit economics across channels and consumer segments. Advise on promotional strategy.

* Manufacturing strategy - Help with a framework to decide between in-house vs contract manufacturing. Bring a view on what to outsource now and what to internalise at what scale, and help identify and evaluate credible manufacturing partners.

* Go-to-market and channel strategy - Advise on the channel roadmap and trade-offs , general trade, modern trade, e-commerce, quick commerce - with a view on sequencing, geographic prioritisation, distributor structure, ROI and the trade terms that will hold up as we scale.

Team building and organisation design - Assist in defining the organizational structure for the vertical. Participate in interviews and bring in a funnel of candidates from their network where appropriate

The Successful Applicant

We're looking for someone who has:15-20 years in blue-chip FMCG businesses - for example HUL, Nestlé, Mondelez, ITC, Britannia, PepsiCo Foods, Parle, Marico, Dabur, Perfetti, General Mills, Kellanova, Ferrero or comparable companies.Experience in taking a product from concept to national scale, not only managing an inherited large brand.

Meaningful time in foods, ideally snacking, bakery, confectionery or impulse categories.Exposure to a challenger brand, D2C business or startup environment alongside the blue-chip career.
