Job Description

Reporting to the CFO, the incumbent will lead the financial controllership function and act as the custodian of the organisation's financial integrity and governance framework.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial closure
  • Reviewing financial statements in compliance with Ind-AS, the Companies Act and applicable SEBI requirements
  • Managing financial reporting and timely submission of group reporting requirements
  • Maintaining balance sheet integrity, accounting accuracy and key account reconciliations
  • Strengthening the ICFR framework and financial controls across the organisation
  • Coordinating statutory, internal and cost audits, along with other compliance reviews
  • Driving timely closure of audit observations and control deficiencies
  • Supporting Audit Committee reviews and listed-entity governance requirements
  • Overseeing manufacturing accounting, product costing and inventory valuation
  • Reviewing inventory ageing, provisioning, plant controls and working capital impact
  • Providing financial oversight on plant performance, yield losses and cost-optimisation initiatives
  • Governing cash-flow planning, liquidity management, banking controls and working-capital performance
  • Developing capabilities across financial reporting, group reporting, fixed assets, manufacturing accounting and balance sheet governance
  • Leading and developing a team of two direct reports
  • Working effectively with plant teams, corporate stakeholders and group finance teams in a matrix environment



Taxation will not form part of the role's scope.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant with approximately 10-12 years of post-qualification experience.The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong financial controllership experience in a manufacturing organisation (Mandatory)
  • Current or previous experience in a listed-company environment (Highly preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of Ind-AS, financial reporting and balance sheet governance
  • Exposure to SEBI requirements, regulatory reporting and listed-entity governance
  • Demonstrated experience in statutory audit, internal audit and ICFR management
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting, costing and inventory valuation
  • Experience in group reporting and working within structured reporting timelines
  • Exposure to working-capital management, cash-flow planning and treasury governance
  • Strong stakeholder-management and team-leadership capabilities
  • Experience working within a matrix reporting structure
