Job Description

  • Lead architecture, design, and development of scalable, high-performance products.
  • Drive technical direction, ensuring best practices across coding, design, quality, and security.
  • Mentor and manage a team of engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and engineering excellence.
  • Partner closely with Product Management to define technical roadmaps and deliver customer-centric features.
  • Lead agile delivery processes including sprint planning, execution, and production releases.
  • Collaborate with QA, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Improve platform scalability, reliability, usability, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive adoption of modern architecture patterns and engineering innovations.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance on complex engineering challenges.
  • Ensure strong documentation of architecture, processes, roadmaps, and engineering standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • 5-10 years of software development experience, including 5+ years in a product company and 2+ years managing engineering teams of 5-8 members
  • Strong expertise in C#/.NET, Java or Node.js, with hands-on experience in modern frontend technologies such as React, TypeScript, Angular, or JavaScript
  • Proven experience designing and scaling SaaS products with a deep understanding of performance, reliability, scalability, and other non-functional requirements
  • Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle
  • Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and modern software engineering practices
  • Exposure to Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, Event Sourcing, Clean Architecture, and microservices-based platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, drive engineering best practices, and build high-performing teams
  • Strong experience delivering products in Agile/Scrum environments, including sprint planning, release management, and stakeholder collaboration
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; experience within high-growth SaaS or product-led organisations preferred.
