This role is for an Electrical Engineer - Electrical & Technical Services responsible for managing all electrical systems and supporting overall plant operations at a cold storage and packhouse facility. The position demands hands-on expertise in electrical infrastructure, refrigeration systems, and cross-functional technical troubleshooting to ensure uninterrupted facility operations.

Job Description

  • Manage and maintain electrical systems including LT/HT panels, DG sets, transformers, UPS, and distribution networks.
  • Ensure 24×7 uptime of cold storage operations, refrigeration systems, CA storage controls, and packhouse equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve breakdowns across electrical, instrumentation, and utility systems.
  • Act as the primary technical escalation point for all plant-level issues.
  • Coordinate with mechanical and operations teams for seamless issue resolution.
  • Drive preventive maintenance schedules to enhance system reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety norms and fire safety standards.
  • Monitor energy consumption and implement efficiency improvement initiatives to optimise costs.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Electrical Engineer should have:

  • 7-10 years experience in industrial electrical operations, preferably in cold storage, food processing, or agri-processing facilities.
  • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
  • Hands-on experience with HT/LT systems, substations, DG sets, UPS, and power distribution.
  • Exposure to refrigeration systems, compressors, CA storage, and packhouse equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting capability across electrical and allied mechanical systems.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with mechanical and operations teams.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, preventive maintenance practices, and energy management techniques.
