Job Description

  • Lead AC engineering design for solar PV plants, including substations up to 765 kV
  • Prepare single line diagrams, layouts, BOQs, and detailed engineering calculations
  • Perform electrical sizing calculations (transformers, cables, batteries, earthing, lightning protection)
  • Design and review primary and secondary electrical systems, including protection schemes and SCADA integration
  • Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, and internal teams for project execution
  • Conduct bid evaluations, prepare technical specifications, and support procurement processes
  • Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and operation of AC-side equipment
  • Ensure compliance with grid regulations, standards, and liaise with government bodies

The Successful Applicant

A successful Electrical Design (AC) Lead should have:

  • 8+ years in AC engineering / solar PV / power systems
  • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, or Electronics & Instrumentation
  • Strong expertise in substation design (AIS/GIS up to 765 kV)
  • Knowledge of SCADA, PLC, protection systems, and grid compliance
  • Experience with electrical calculations and design documentation
  • Familiarity with ETAP, PSCAD is an advantage
  • Strong analytical capability, communication skills, and ability to work with senior stakeholders
  • Experience in EPC/developer environment along with handling DPRs, RFPs, and technical evaluations
