Job Description

  • Develop and implement trading strategies aligned with the overall business plan
  • Conduct detailed market analysis to identify opportunities and build industry relationships
  • Perform supply and demand analysis, including market positioning and price drivers
  • Provide insights and market intelligence to the trading team
  • Validate and analyse price trends, including forward price curves
  • Support development of pricing strategies and export programmes
  • Collaborate with internal trading teams to optimise trading decisions
  • Participate in global meetings and effectively communicate market views and strategies

The Successful Applicant

A successful Commodity Trader should have:

  • 4-6 years of experience in the Indian grains and oilseeds industry
  • Postgraduate from reputed institutes like IIFT, IRMA, or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of trading strategies, contracts, and pricing mechanisms
  • High level of analytical capability in supply-demand and market trends
  • Proficient in working with data and strong computer literacy
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently under pressure with attention to detail
  • Demonstrates ownership, teamwork, and problem-solving mindset
