The role would require a subject-matter expertise and owning the end-to-end sourcing life cycle for the Cable/Harness commodities.A deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier landscape and commercial drivers of technically complex components for capital equipment in relevant industries is needed.
  • Only Engineers with 12-16 years experience in Sourcing and Commodity Strategy
  • Only candidates with exp in Cables, Harnesses or Electro-Mechanical commodities

Our client is a Global Leader in Capital Equipment design & Manufacturing. The position sits in their Global Supply Chain vertical spanning end-to-end operations including sourcing, planning, inventor control and logistics.

Job Description

  • Owning end-to-end strategy for Cable & Harness commodities - cables, wires, connectors, harnesses, sensors
  • Developing and managing the global supplier ecosystem - selection, qualification, development and consolidation
  • Driving strategic sourcing, negotiations, contracts/LTAs and cost optimisation
  • Managing supplier capacity, continuity, dual sourcing and supply-chain risks
  • Partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain on NPI and technical requirements
  • Driving VAVE, should-cost analysis, bench marking and productivity initiatives
  • Building long-term commodity road maps aligned with the organisation's technology and business requirements
  • Acting as the commodity SME and strategic owner

The Successful Applicant

  • 12-16 years experience in Strategic Sourcing/Commodity Management
  • Strong Cable & Harness/Wiring/Connectors/Electromechanical commodity expertise
  • Has independently managed global commodities and significant spend
  • Ideally from semiconductor equipment, electronics, aerospace, industrial automation, medical devices or other capital equipment background
