Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced CMDB Analyst L3 to manage, govern, and continuously improve the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) ecosystem. The role involves ensuring data accuracy, service mapping, discovery integration, and CMDB compliance to support IT Service Management (ITSM), Asset Management, and IT Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain CMDB data quality, governance, and lifecycle management.
  • Design, implement, and optimize CMDB processes, standards, and workflows.
  • Manage Discovery, Service Mapping, and integrations with ITSM/ITOM tools.
  • Analyze and resolve CMDB data discrepancies, ensuring configuration item (CI) accuracy.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, application, cloud, and operations teams to maintain CI relationships.
  • Develop CMDB dashboards, reports, KPIs, and compliance metrics.
  • Support audits, change management, incident management, and asset management processes.
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives within the CMDB environment.
  • Provide L3 support and technical guidance for CMDB-related issues.



The Successful Applicant

We're looking for someone who has:

  • 7 to 9 years of IT experience with at least 4+ years in CMDB administration and governance.
  • Strong experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and ITOM modules.
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes, Configuration Management, Asset Management, and Change Management.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), infrastructure, and application landscapes.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, JavaScript) is preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation certification preferred; OR Certified Configuration Manager (CCM) OR related Configuration Management certification
  • ServiceNow certifications are an added advantage.
