Job Description

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

The Azure L3 Engineer will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting mission-critical Azure cloud environments. This role involves handling complex technical escalations, leading P1/P2 incident calls, engaging directly with clients, and mentoring L1/L2 engineers. The engineer will ensure stability, scalability, and security across Azure services while driving automation, cost optimization, and adherence to operational standards.KEY ACTIVITIES & TASKS

Lead and troubleshoot high-priority (P1/P2) incident of our scope , ensuring quick resolution and clear communication to stakeholders.

* Manage, maintain and support Azure infrastructure and service like Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Azure Storage, Key Vault, App services etc.

* Perform advanced troubleshooting for issues escalated by L1 and L2 teams across any deployed resources

* Implement infrastructure automation through Terraform, Ansible

* Monitor resource utilization, health, and performance using SPLUNK

* Ensure compliance with cloud governance, security policies, and cost management best practice defined by Global Team

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and implement environments.

* Create and maintain detailed documentation including SOPs, architecture diagrams, and technical runbooks.

* Mentor and coach L1/L2 engineers through technical sessions, reviews, and escalation handling.

* Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery exercises.

* Participate in shift rotations, ensuring coverage for 24x7 operations across environments.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Cloud & Managed Apps - L3 Azure should have:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, I nformation Technology, or related field.

* Extensive hands-on experience with Azure cloud infrastructure IaaS and P aaS services like WebApp, Function, EventH ub etc.

* Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID , Identity Manag ement

* Strong k nowledge of Azure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

* Proficiency in automation and scripting tools including PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform.

* Experience in managing Monitoring and log ging tools and proactive issue resolution

* Strong understanding of Azure networking, DNS, hybrid connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute), and firewall config urations.

* Experience with Azure App Services and serverless offerings

* Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

* Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, CI/ CD integrations, and monitoring using Azure DevOps environments. Certifications:

* Strong ly Preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

* Good to have: Certification in automation or DevOps tools (Terraform, Ansible) desirable. * Good to have: ITIL Foundation certification is an added advantage. Professional Competencies & skills

* Strong documentation skills to create and maintain detailed technical reports, RCA documents, and SOPs.

* Proven experience managing incident bridges and communicating technical details effectively to clients.

* Effective communication and client-facing abilities to manage incident calls, status reports, and escalations.

* Skilled in leading and driving P1/P2 calls under pressure while coordinating between multiple teams.

* Leadership and mentoring skills to guide and train L1 and L2 engineers.

* Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience working in enterprise-scale, cloud-based

* Analytical and problem-solving mindset focused on continuous improvement

* Fluent in English accountability
