Job Description

This is a hands‑on Compensation & Benefits leadership role in a high‑growth, potentially pre‑IPO organization, responsible for building and scaling rewards frameworks in a fast‑evolving environment. The role will manage heavy hiring volumes and a large, operationally complex workforce, balancing scalability, cost, and speed with governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end Compensation & Benefits strategy, design, and execution across the organization.
  • Drive annual pay cycles, incentive plans, benchmarking, equity/reward governance, and cost optimization.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, and evolving regulatory norms, staying up to date on changes impacting compensation, benefits, and payroll.
  • Build scalable rewards frameworks aligned to rapid growth, transformation, and potential pre‑IPO needs.
  • Partner closely with business leaders, finance, HR operations, and leadership to support decision‑making through data and insights.
  • Operate in a highly hands‑on manner while navigating pace, ambiguity, and operational complexity.

The Successful Applicant

The Successful Applicant

  • 8-15 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits, with clear ownership of both design and execution across key C&B processes.
  • Demonstrated depth in core Compensation & Benefits, rather than only advisory or policy‑level exposure.
  • Experience working in agile, high‑change environments such as large‑scale transformations, mergers, or start‑up / scale‑up organizations.
  • Strong comfort with data, analytics, and insight generation, with the ability to translate numbers into practical, business‑led decisions.
  • Experience supporting large, high‑volume, and operationally complex workforces.
  • Working knowledge of Indian labour laws, statutory requirements, and compliance, with the ability to stay current as regulations evolve.
  • Ability to balance ideal reward frameworks with on‑ground business realities, applying judgment rather than rigid rules.
  • A natural problem‑solver with a strong sense of ownership and outcome focus, particularly in fast‑moving situations.
  • Comfortable operating in a hands‑on manner, across both detailed operational work and larger strategic initiatives.
  • Open to intensity and flexibility in working hours during peak cycles and critical milestones.
  • Able to shift perspective quickly, moving between detail and big‑picture thinking as priorities change.
  • Hindi language capability (understanding and speaking) to enable effective stakeholder interactions.
