Job Description

  • Lead global corporate payments operations across multiple regions and products.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant execution of all payment processes.
  • Design and implement a scalable global Target Operating Model (TOM).
  • Drive automation, digitization, and AI adoption to improve efficiency and STP rates.
  • Strengthen risk, control frameworks, and financial crime compliance mechanisms.
  • Enhance client experience through faster turnaround and improved service quality.
  • Act as escalation point for critical client issues and complex payment scenarios.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams while driving continuous improvement and innovation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Director Payment Operations should have:

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.Extensive experience (15+ years) in payments operations, corporate banking, or transaction banking.
  • Proven leadership in managing large global teams and transformation programs.
  • Strong expertise in payments systems such as SWIFT, ACH, RTGS, and cross-border transactions.
  • Demonstrated experience in automation, AI/ML adoption, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of risk management, regulatory frameworks, and financial crime controls.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with exposure to senior executive leadership.
  • Educational background: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or similar advanced qualification preferred.
  • Certifications in payments, operations, or risk management are a plus.
