As an Application Manager, you will lead application support teams responsible for the deployment, operation and sustainment of Advantest 93K test solutions across customer sites. Job Description

As an Application Manager, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to application engineering teams supporting Advantest test solutions across assigned customer accounts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, mentor and develop application engineering teams supporting Advantest equipment.
  • Manage resources, workload prioritisation and capability development across customer accounts.
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching and career development planning.
  • Provide managerial oversight of pre-sales and post-sales application support.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex issues involving correlation, yield, test time and production stability.
  • Guide teams on test methodologies, software capabilities and application best practices.
  • Ensure effective delivery of application training and technical workshops.
  • Serve as the primary management interface for key customers on application and operational matters.
  • Build strong customer relationships and support long-term platform adoption.
  • Represent customer feedback internally and influence support strategies.
  • Work closely with Sales, Service and R&D leadership to deliver coordinated customer support.
  • Drive continuous improvement across application support processes and team effectiveness.
  • Define and monitor operational metrics relating to support quality and responsiveness.
  • Contribute to regional and global application support initiatives.



The Successful Applicant

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Strong experience in test engineering using Advantest 93K.
  • Hands-on or strong working knowledge of SmartTest8.
  • Experience leading or managing application engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor test methodologies and applications.
  • Experience supporting customer sites and managing customer relationships.
  • Exposure to issues involving yield, correlation, test time and production stability.
  • Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with Sales, Service and R&D teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and escalation management capabilities.
  • The ability to lead technical teams without requiring direct hands-on programming.
