Lead end-to-end construction and project-management activities for ISTS-connected wind projects. The incumbent will own delivery of the assigned project from NTP through construction, commissioning, COD and hand-over to O&M (HOTO).

Job Description

Project Planning, Scheduling & PMO Governance

  • Develop and maintain the integrated Master Project Schedule (Primavera P6 / MS Project) covering WTG supply and erection, civil and infra works, electrical BOP, evacuation and commissioning milestones aligned to contractual NTP-to-COD timelines.
  • Prepare the project execution plan, WBS, construction sequence, resource plan and DEVEX/CAPEX phasing for the assigned project.



Site Development & Enabling Infrastructure

  • Drive the strategy for zero-point identification, storage-yard / laydown-area selection and development and site mobilisation for the assigned wind project.
  • Oversee liaisoning and construction of access roads, bypass and bellmouth development, road-widening, culverts and turning radii required for WTG component transportation and crane movement.



WTG Erection, Electrical BOP & Power Evacuation

  • Oversee WTG component logistics, off-loading, pre-erection, erection and pre-commissioning in coordination with the WTG OEM and crane packages (crawler cranes and off-loading cranes).
  • Supervise construction of the 33 kV internal collector network (overhead lines and/or underground cabling) connecting WTGs to the pooling substation.



Cross-Functional Coordination (HO)

  • Act as the HO-based nodal point coordinating inputs from Engineering, Supply Chain Management (SCM), ESG, OH&S, Inventory, Quality, Services Procurement, Regulatory, Land, Project Finance and Insurance for the assigned project.
  • Facilitate closure of supply and services contracts with the concerned Supply Chain / Services Procurement managers - preparing scope of work (SOW/DOR), bid packages, techno-commercial evaluation and vendor onboarding for WTG supply & service, cBOP, eBOP, TL, PSS, roads, cranes and consultants.



Consultant & Third-Party Management

  • Manage engagements with Owner's Engineers (OE) / Independent Engineers (IE) appointed by lenders; facilitate site visits, review reports and close out observations within agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate Third-Party Inspection (TPI) agencies for WTG components, transformers, cables, structures and switchgear at vendor works and at-site receiving inspections.



Offtaker & Customer Engagement

  • Serve as the primary interface with the power offtaker(s) for the assigned project; understand their end-of-line approval, metering and compliance requirements.
  • Track and secure all project-stage approvals in time - CTU/STU connectivity and LTA, CEIG/CEA, RLDC/SLDC, DISCOM, open-access and ISTS/PowerGrid interface approvals - to enable timely charging and commissioning.



Vendor, OEM & I&C Equipment Coordination

  • Engage with WTG OEMs (e.g., Siemens Gamesa, Suzlon, GE, Inox, Envision) and major equipment suppliers on supply schedules, technical due diligence and interface management, in coordination with SCM and Services Procurement.
  • Engage with I&C vendors, SCADA integrators and testing agencies as required, coordinating scope and schedule with the procurement teams.



Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare, maintain and update project cashflow forecasts monthly; flag deviations from the sanctioned budget to the GM - Projects and finance team.
  • Own and track the project P&L at activity level; drive cost control and identify optimisation opportunities without compromising quality or safety.



Escalation, Risk & Issue Management

  • Proactively identify schedule, quality, commercial, grid and stakeholder risks; escalate critical issues to the GM - Projects with root-cause analysis and proposed resolutions.
  • Resolve inter-agency conflicts among WTG OEM, EPC contractors, subcontractors and vendors at HO level; facilitate formal dispute resolution and claims management where required.



Commissioning, Hand-Over & Documentation

  • Drive readiness for mechanical completion, grid synchronisation, performance testing and HOTO to O&M.
  • Ensure complete and accurate project documentation - contracts, drawings, IRNs, test records, inspection and commissioning certificates and approval letters - is maintained in the project-management system, including HOTO digitalisation.

The Successful Applicant

  • B.Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil with a strong wind-execution background. MBA or project-management certification (PMP) preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in wind project execution / operations within the Indian renewable energy sector.
  • Proven track record of independently delivering utility-scale ISTS / CTU-connected wind projects through construction, commissioning, COD and HOTO.
  • Hands-on experience working with multiple WTG suppliers/OEMs (e.g., Siemens Gamesa, Suzlon, GE, Inox, Envision) across multiple states in India.
  • Experience handling EHV substation and transmission-line integration, grid synchronisation and offtaker/utility interfaces (CTU/STU, RLDC/SLDC, CEIG, DISCOM).
  • Prior experience with leading IPPs, WTG OEMs, or EPC players is strongly preferred.
  • WTG erection and commissioning; cBOP / eBOP / mBOP execution; crane-package management.
  • Strong multi-agency and cross-functional leadership; ability to govern OEMs, EPC contractors and consultants while coordinating HO functions.
  • Excellent stakeholder-management, communication and negotiation skills across customers, utilities, consultants and internal teams.
  • Decision-making under execution pressure with a strong ownership and results orientation.
  • High attention to technical and commercial detail combined with strategic delivery focus.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to the assigned project state and sites.
