This role is responsible for overall site leadership and operational performance of an existing specialty chemicals manufacturing facility in Rajasthan. The position owns safety, production, quality, compliance, people leadership, and plant P&L while acting as the single point of accountability for the site.

Job Description

  • Full end-to-end ownership of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, EHS, security, and administration.
  • Establish and sustain a robust safety and compliance culture, ensuring adherence to all statutory and regulatory norms.
  • Lead production planning and process optimisation with strict quality and yield control.
  • Manage and optimise bromination and chlorination-based chemical processes.
  • Act as the primary interface with regulatory authorities and auditors.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop large multidisciplinary site teams with a strong performance culture.
  • Drive cost control, efficiency improvements, and operational P&L performance.
  • Collaborate closely with corporate sales, planning, and supply chain teams for demand alignment.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Unit Head should have:

  • 18-25 years of experience in specialty chemicals manufacturing, with prior exposure as Unit Head / Plant Head / Site Head.
  • B.E./B.Tech in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
  • Hands-on experience in bromination and chlorination chemistry is mandatory.
  • Strong expertise in hazardous chemical handling, process safety, and EHS systems.
  • Proven capability to manage large, multi-disciplinary manufacturing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian statutory, environmental, and factory regulations.
  • Leadership traits including ownership mindset, high safety orientation, and strong stakeholder management skills.
