The Purchase Manager will handle procurement operations and manage supplier relationships to ensure smooth supply chain activities in the mechanical industry. This role is based in Mumbai.
  • 10+ years of expereince in sourcing PTFE and silicone products
  • Managing global contracts and vendors and vendor substitution process.

The company operates in the specialised chemical industry and is located in Mumbai

Job Description

  • Lead global sourcing and supplier development for specialty raw materials
  • Source fluorosurfactants, silicones, waxes, PTFE dispersions, nano-ceramics, nano-graphites and additives
  • Partner with R&D, QC and Plant teams on trials and validate
  • Negotiate commercials, MOQ, freight, lead times and supply terms
  • Manage imports, alternate sourcing and supplier performance

The Successful Applicant

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of procurement practices in the mechanical industry.
  • Bachelor's/Master's in Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related discipline
  • Polymer Chemistry background preferred
  • Strong international sourcing and import experience
