As a Project Engineer , you will look after engineering and manufacturing projects in the Chemical Industry, keeping plans, people and project work on track. You will help deliver practical outcomes for the Industrial / Manufacturing business through clear planning and regular follow-up.

Our client is one of the leading MNC's in specialty chemicals

Job Description

Reporting to the global head of projects, you will

  • Manage end-to-end execution of brownfield and greenfield projects, including feasibility studies, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
  • Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, layouts, equipment datasheets, and vendor documentation.
  • Support plant debottlenecking, energy optimization, capacity enhancement, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in HAZOPs, risk assessments, design reviews, and management of change (MOC) processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement through value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Prepare regular project status reports and present updates to senior management.
  • Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to align project activities.
  • Manage project resources and priorities based on agreed plans.
  • Share clear project updates with relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify project issues early and help find practical solutions.
  • Maintain project records, plans and status reports.

The Successful Applicant

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A chemical or electrical engineering degree
  • Experience working on the client side as opposed to EPC
