Job Description

Reporting to the Process Engineering Leadership, you will:

  • Support process design, optimization, and continuous improvement across pilot and commercial operations.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, throughput, and operating performance.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Monitor process performance and recommend optimization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to achieve production targets.
  • Support Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Participate in equipment testing, validation, and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to plant operators and support daily production activities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Brings 5+ years of industrial or pilot plant experience in rare earth solvent extraction.
  • Strong expertise in solvent extraction systems, leaching, precipitation, filtration, and downstream processing.
  • Proven experience in process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process optimization.
  • Familiar with Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), process safety, and HAZOP methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train and support plant operations teams.
  • Experience with CAD tools, process control, or commissioning activities is an advantage.
