Job Description

  • Lead NPD and overall business operations for the convenience and staples portfolio.
  • Manage end-to-end supply chain: production, planning, procurement, and inventory.
  • Oversee manufacturing operations including plant performance and co-manufacturing partners.
  • Ensure stringent compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive product lifecycle from ideation and trials to successful commercialisation.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (NPD, quality, procurement, and external vendors).
  • Optimise cost, efficiency, and scalability across product lines.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience: Typically 8-15+ years in food manufacturing, FMCG, or packaged foods.
  • Core expertise: Strong exposure to NPD, plant operations, and end-to-end supply chain management.
  • Technical knowledge: Deep understanding of food safety standards (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO, etc.) and quality systems.
  • Operations exposure: Proven experience managing 3rd party/co-manufacturing setups.
  • Skills: Stakeholder management, negotiation, vendor development, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Tools/Systems: Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP/Oracle), production planning tools, and quality management systems.
  • Education: Bachelor's/Master's in Food Technology, Engineering, Operations, or related discipline (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
  • Mindset: Entrepreneurial, data-driven, hands-on operator with the ability to scale businesses and manage ambiguity.
