Job Description

  • Develop and optimize screen‑printing processes for Ag, Ag‑Al, and Al pastes used in front and back contact formation.
  • Tune firing curves to achieve optimal contact resistivity (ρₐ), adhesion, and junction integrity.
  • Optimize finger height, width, and gridline design to minimize shading and series resistance.
  • Drive improvements in sheet resistance, contact uniformity, and overall metallization performance.
  • Work with laser process teams to optimize Laser Contact Opening (LCO) and ensure compatibility with metallization steps.
  • Evaluate and qualify new silver, aluminum, and dual‑print pastes based on electrical performance, printability, and cost.
  • Lead DOE studies for paste selection and process matching across different wafer technologies (mono, TOPCon, HJT).
  • Monitor paste shelf life, storage conditions, and consumption trends.
  • Provide daily production support for screen printing, drying, and firing operations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Metallization Engineer should have:

  • B. Tech / M. Tech in Materials Science, Electronics, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
  • 2-8 years of metallization experience in solar cell manufacturing (PERC, TOPCon, HJT) or semiconductor screen‑printing processes.
  • Experience with LCO processes, dual‑print metallization, and advanced Ag pastes.
  • Understanding of metallization impact on module reliability and long‑term degradation.
  • Hands‑on experience in screen printing and firing processes for semiconductor/solar cell metallization
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
