Job Description

  • Lead regional market development strategy across multiple business units in South Asia
  • Translate global strategies into localized, insight-driven plans and execution roadmaps
  • Drive pricing strategy, product positioning, and portfolio optimization initiatives
  • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities across markets, segments, and applications
  • Provide deep market insights, competitor analysis, and customer-driven recommendations
  • Support top-line growth and profitability enhancement through upselling and value capture
  • Act as a key interface between regional teams and global SBU stakeholders
  • Shape and execute marketing initiatives including campaigns, events, and activations
  • Enable commercialization and launch readiness for new products and applications
  • Collaborate closely with sales, technical, and marketing teams to drive execution
  • Lead a lean team including analysts, marketing communications, and technical experts
  • Contribute to annual planning, forecasting, and long-term strategic roadmaps
  • Build organizational capability by enabling teams with insights, training, and best practices

The Successful Applicant

A successful Marketing Director/Manager should have:

  • 15+ years of experience in pharma, excipients, specialty chemicals, or related sectors
  • Strong techno-commercial background with balanced exposure to strategy and execution
  • Experience working in multinational, matrixed organizations with cross-functional collaboration
  • Proven ability to drive pricing, portfolio strategy, and commercial initiatives
  • Strong analytical and market insight capabilities
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across regional and global teams
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Science, or related field; MBA preferred
  • Exposure to manufacturing environments and multi-market roles is advantageous
