Job Description

  • Identify, screen and evaluate potential M&A opportunities aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Build financial models and perform valuations using DCF, comparable companies and precedent transaction methodologies.
  • Support financial and commercial due diligence and identify key deal risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare investment memoranda, business cases and presentations for senior management.
  • Develop strategic rationales and investment theses for potential acquisitions.
  • Support transaction execution, including evaluation, pricing, structuring, negotiations, documentation and internal approvals.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, investment bankers, consultants, legal advisors, auditors and other stakeholders.
  • Track transaction milestones and support post-transaction activities, where required.

The Successful Applicant

  • A CA and/or MBA qualification.
  • Approximately 2 to 6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong experience in financial modelling and valuation.
  • Experience in financial and commercial due diligence.
  • Experience in preparing investment memoranda or investment committee materials.
  • Exposure to M&A opportunity identification, target screening and evaluation.
  • Exposure to transaction execution would be preferred.
  • Strong analytical, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience in corporate buy-side M&A, investment banking, transaction advisory, consulting, a Managing Director's Office or a similar strategy role would be advantageous.
