Job Description

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, specifically within the chemical/manufacturing industry.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation.
  • Advise senior management on legal risks and strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  • Handle litigation matters and liaise with external legal counsel as necessary.
  • Develop and implement internal compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and ensure timely updates to company policies.
  • Oversee internal investigations and ensure adherence to ethical and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal and compliance concerns.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Legal and Compliance should have:

  • A degree in Law from a recognised institution.
  • Proven expertise in handling legal and compliance matters within the chemical/manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and corporate governance.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating complex legal documents.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to ethical practices.
