Job Description

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to protect the company's interests.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations relevant to the retail and consumer industry.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on various business matters.
  • Manage disputes, litigation, and arbitration processes with external counsel.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the business.
  • Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support the business in intellectual property management and brand protection.
  • Collaborate with other departments to mitigate legal risks and ensure smooth operations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head Legal should have:

  • A degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) from a reputed institution and a CS degree.
  • Strong knowledge of legal frameworks within the retail and consumer industry.
  • Proven experience in handling contracts, compliance, and regulatory matters.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound legal decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in managing disputes and working with external legal counsel.
