Our client in the pharma industry is looking for a Legal and Compliance Lead for their Commercial, Regulatory and Strategic Business matters. It is to ensure adherence to Pharma regulation, commercial laws and ethical business practices.
  • Lawyers with 12-18 years of PQE with relevant pharma exp. should apply.
  • Lawyers based out of/open to relocate to Mumbai should apply.

Our client is a well-reputed Pharma MNC with their strong global footprint across and is present in the global markets a with diversified business portfolio. They are looking for a seasoned lawyer to lead the legal and compliance function based out of Mumbai, India.

Job Description

  • Provide legal and strategic guidance on commercial, regulatory, compliance, and business matters.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial contracts and business agreements.
  • Manage disputes, investigations, litigation, and external counsel while mitigating legal and business risks.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs, policies, governance frameworks, and risk management initiatives.
  • Advise on ethics, regulatory compliance, data privacy, competition law, anti-corruption, and other legal risk areas.
  • Strong understanding of the Drugs & Cosmetics Act and Rules, DPCO and NPPA pricing regulations, UCPMP and other relevant laws.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments, deliver stakeholder training, and support key business initiatives and decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in law from a recognised institution.
  • Experience in legal and compliance roles within the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations in India.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.
