Job Description

  • Manage the organization's legal framework and ensure compliance with industry regulations and laws.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to senior management on corporate governance and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee dispute resolution processes, including arbitration and litigation matters.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure the company's policies are updated accordingly.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel on complex legal issues and cases.
  • Advise on legal implications of business strategies and transactions.
  • Lead and manage the legal team to ensure effective delivery of services.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Lead Legal should have:

  • A law degree from a recognized institution, with at-least ten years of experience
  • Proven expertise in the energy and natural resources industry.
  • Experience in contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution especially arbitration
