Head of SCM - EV Battery and BESS

1. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement

• Develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across direct and indirect procurement categories.
• Drive supplier selection, negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
• Ensure cost optimization through Zero Base Costing (ZBC), benchmarking, VA/VE, and strategic negotiations.
• Manage CAPEX and OPEX procurement planning and budget adherence.

2. Supplier Development & Localization

• Develop robust supplier ecosystem through supplier identification, evaluation, onboarding, and capability development.
• Drive localization initiatives to reduce dependency and enhance supply chain resilience.
• Build alternate supplier strategies for critical components and risk mitigation.
• Manage supplier performance through defined KPIs, audits, and improvement plans.

3. Supply Chain Strategy & Business Partnership

• Develop supply chain roadmap aligned with business growth, new product introduction, and manufacturing requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Projects, Finance) for seamless execution.
• Lead sourcing activities from design stage to mass production readiness.
• Ensure supply chain readiness for new projects and business expansion.

4. Cost Optimization & Commercial Excellence

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and deliver measurable savings.
• Lead commercial negotiations with strategic suppliers.
• Drive total cost of ownership improvement.
• Establish procurement governance, processes, and compliance frameworks.

5. Supply Chain Risk Management

• Identify supply risks related to capacity, geography, supplier dependency, and market volatility.
• Develop mitigation plans including dual sourcing and strategic partnerships.
• Ensure continuity of supply with minimum business disruption.

6. Team Leadership & Capability Building

• Build and lead a high-performing SCM team.
• Define functional KPIs and performance management framework.
• Develop team capability through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
