Job Description

  • Lead mechanical maintenance activities across project execution, commissioning, start-up, and plant operations.
  • Support equipment receipt, installation monitoring, commissioning, and performance testing.
  • Establish and manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programmes.
  • Drive equipment reliability initiatives and minimise unplanned downtime.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for recurring failures.
  • Manage maintenance planning, shutdowns, turnarounds, and CMMS-related activities.
  • Supervise maintenance teams and contractors while ensuring compliance with HSE and quality standards.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, maintenance budgets, and continuous improvement programmes.

The Successful Applicant

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in chemical plants, refineries, petrochemicals, specialty chemicals, bromine, chlor-alkali, or acid manufacturing industries.
  • Experience in project commissioning, plant start-up, maintenance management, and reliability engineering.
  • B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong expertise in mechanical maintenance of rotating and static equipment such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, heat exchangers, boilers, valves, and piping systems.
  • Experience handling exotic materials and non-metallic equipment.
  • Proficient in preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance practices.
  • Hands-on experience with RCA, FMEA, and Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM).
  • Familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of vibration analysis, alignment, balancing, lubrication systems, and condition monitoring techniques.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and industry standards such as ASME, API, ISO, and ASTM.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective planning, scheduling, and organisational abilities.
  • Strong communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
