This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of Indirect tax functions across the organization's supporting the organization's long-term financial goals. This role involves ensuring compliance with tax regulations, formulating tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position including offering structuring solutions and managing tax risks efficiently

Job Description

1. Be the single point of contact (SPOC) for all taxation requirements with the Regulatory authorities, Consultants & internal stakeholders.

2. Ensure Indirect Taxes compliance PAN India well within deadline / with the desired level of efficiency.

3. Act as the key point of contact and manage relationships with tax authorities, external advisors, and auditors, ensuring the company is represented accurately and positively.

4. Correspond with the taxation authorities for all the notices and queries for Indirect Taxes

5. Efficient management of Indirect Taxes assessments, Litigations, and associated risks

6. Advise on dispute resolution strategies, aiming to mitigate tax liabilities and risks.

7. Expert in handling complex international transactions, Transfer Pricing strategy, Audit, litigation and CBCR reporting

8. Coordination with Group Tax team for updates about India Tax including Risks / Litigations

9. Responsible for managing overall risks related to IDT matters including old regime IDT matters.

10. Responsible for MIS related to Tax.

11. Proactive in anticipating Tax impacts for Business transactions and advises other functions /

12. Management appropriate actions in lieu of Tax Laws

13. Driving ERP change in line with law changes / other automation projects related to Tax.

14. To provide inputs as and when called upon for efficient tax management practices and to proactively manage the structuring of transactions from time to time, adopting due diligence of the highest standard.

15. Oversee and manage the taxation team, ensuring high-performance levels, continuous learning, and development in tax-related matters.

The Successful Applicant

- Chartered Accountant (CA) mandatory; additional qualification in Law (LLB) or CS is a plus.

- 15-18+ years of progressive experience in taxation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

- Experience in large corporates, Big 4, or industry tax leadership role preferred.
