Job Description

  • Lead Business Development for the Instituion, driving growth in market share, trading volumes, revenue, and member participation.
  • Acquire and onboard Stockbrokers, Trading Members, Banks, Financial Institutions, and Corporates.
  • Promote products including Equity, Derivatives, Currency, Interest Rate Futures, Mutual Funds, and other offerings.
  • Build strong relationships with market participants and key stakeholders across the capital markets ecosystem.
  • Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and regional expansion initiatives.
  • Develop business pitches, conduct industry events, and represent the Institution at forums and conferences.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to drive business strategy and growth.
  • Own revenue targets and P&L while collaborating with Regulatory, Operations, and Technology teams for effective business delivery.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head - BD should have:

  • MBA/Postgraduate with 20+ years of experience in Capital Markets, preferably across Exchanges, Broking Firms, Financial Institutions, or Market Intermediaries.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian capital markets, exchange operations, and trading products.
  • Proven success in member acquisition, revenue growth, and market expansion.
  • Well-established network with Stockbrokers, Banks, Institutions, and other market participants.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute growth strategies in a competitive market environment.
  • Strong analytical and relationship management capabilities with a focus on driving business growth.
