EA to the Director of Finance

As an EA to the Finance Director, you'll manage financial data, analyse trends, and support decision-making processes in the mining and exploration sector. You will also be supporting administrative work and collaborating across teams within the organisation.
  • Work closely with the Group Finance Director
  • This role will involve travel of 5-7 days a month.

Our client is a diversified miner with operations and projects in India, Indonesia and Africa. They invest downstream in mineral beneficiation, agglomeration and metal manufacturing.

Job Description

Financial Analysis & Support

  • Assist with reviewing financial data, tracking budgets, and preparing financial summaries or MIS reports.
  • Analyze data to support decision-making.



Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Compile data from various teams to create comprehensive reports.



MIS Review

  • Review comprehensive Management Information System (MIS) reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis submitted by teams.



Financial Planning

  • Expertise in cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.



Liaison & Communication

  • Act as a central point of contact between the Director, internal departments (especially Accounts/Finance), and external stakeholders.



Meeting Support

  • Should be able to make notes of meetings and be AI savvy
  • Stay updated on the Director's schedule.
  • Prioritize appointments.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations.



The Successful Applicant

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence using financial tools and software.
  • An understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
