About Our Client

Our client is a building an AI based financial institution for the global mid-market. It specialises across IPO, pre-IPO, institutional fundraising, and M&A deals. The belief is simple: the next financial institution will not be built only by adding more bankers. It will be built by combining deep human judgement with AI-native systems that improve sourcing, research, diligence, documentation, distribution, and execution.

Job Description

  1. Investor and capital markets distribution
  • Build and deepen relationships across institutional and private capital pools, including QIBs, AIFs, family offices, HNIs, strategic investors, and wealth networks. Map investors by mandate, cheque size, sector preference, stage, risk appetite, geography, and transaction type.
  • Support distribution for IPO, pre-IPO, institutional fundraising, and M&A mandates. Identify the right investor universe for each transaction and help shape the approach strategy.

  1. Book-building and demand creation
  • Help create institutional appetite for companies before and during active transactions. Work with internal teams to position companies clearly for the right investor segments.
  • Support pricing, allocation, timing, investor prioritization, and book-quality decisions. Understand which investor matters for which kind of company, and why.

  1. Transaction support across IPO, fundraising, and M&A
  • Work closely with internal teams across deal origination, research, documentation, diligence, and execution. Bring market feedback into transaction strategy.
  • Help founders and companies understand investor expectations, objections, and decision-making patterns. Support buyer / investor outreach in M&A and strategic transactions.

  1. Institutional relationship building
  • Represent the firm credibly with senior capital markets participants. Build long-term relationships that stay with the institution, not just the individual banker.
  • Help design repeatable distribution systems, processes, and playbooks.

  1. Market intelligence
  • Track investor behaviour, sector appetite, valuation sensitivity, market windows, liquidity conditions, and transaction comparables.
  • Convert market conversations into structured intelligence for the broader team.

The Successful Applicant

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in investment banking, capital markets, institutional sales, ECM, private wealth, AIF distribution, M&A advisory, or related roles.
  • Strong relationships across QIBs, AIFs, family offices, HNIs, strategic acquirers, merchant bankers, brokers, and capital markets intermediaries.
  • Hands-on experience with IPOs, pre-IPO placements, institutional fundraising, M&A, private placements, or structured capital raises.
  • A strong understanding of book-building, investor targeting, deal positioning, pricing, allocation, and transaction timing.
  • Ability to speak credibly with promoters, founders, CFOs, institutional investors, strategic buyers, and senior intermediaries.
  • High judgement, strong market instincts, and a deep understanding of trust-based selling.
  • Comfort operating in a high-growth, founder-led, institution-building environment.
