As the Director of TechOps and the Core focus will be Platform Engineering / Cloud / DevOps governance, with oversight of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, network, end-user computing and related technology operations.

A company in the Sport-technology located in Mumbai.

Job Description

  1. Platform engineering and cloud governance will form the largest component of the role.
  2. Cloud strategy, architecture governance and optimisation.
  3. DevOps governance, including CI/CD and observability.
  4. Ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend strategic improvements.
  5. Standardisation across multiple product/platform environments.
    1. Infrastructure governance and technology cost optimisation.
    2. IT operations / end-user computing oversight.
    3. Network and cybersecurity oversight.
    4. Business continuity and operational resilience.
    5. Vendor / technology asset optimisation.
  6. Act as a quality/governance gate across technology teams rather than owning every execution activity.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong communicator and articulate.
  • Comfortable presenting to senior/executive stakeholders.
  • Able to influence and ask for decisions.
  • Strategic but technically credible.
  • Curious and willing to learn outside their immediate domain.
  • Comfortable working across a broad and somewhat fragmented technology charter.
  • Pragmatic and willing to take ownership beyond their existing specialisation.
  • Strong leadership orientation rather than purely technical execution.
