The Lead - Affinity Business will be responsible to develop, manage, and grow the Affinity Business vertical by building strategic partnerships with affinity groups, associations, corporates, platforms, and institutions, and delivering customized insurance solutions that drive sustainable premium growth and profitability.

Job Description

Affinity Business Development

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new affinity partners (e.g., associations, trade bodies, employee groups, fintechs, e-commerce platforms, OEMs, NBFCs).
  • Design and implement affinity-based insurance programs across Life, Health, and General Insurance.
  • Drive end-to-end deal structuring including product design, pricing discussions, commission structures, and partner commercials.
  • Build a strong pipeline of affinity opportunities to meet premium and revenue targets.



Partner & Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for affinity partners.
  • Maintain long-term strategic relationships to ensure renewals, cross-sell, and upsell opportunities.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with partners and insurers.
  • Resolve operational, servicing, and claims-related escalations in coordination with internal teams.



Product & Insurer Coordination

  • Work closely with insurers to co-create customized products tailored to affinity partner needs.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and service-level agreements with insurers.
  • Stay updated on insurer product offerings, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory changes.



Strategy & Market Development

  • Develop affinity business strategy aligned with overall company growth plans.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behaviour, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities.
  • Launch innovative affinity models including embedded insurance and digital distribution partnerships.



Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations and internal policies.
  • Coordinate with operations, policy issuance, and claims teams for smooth execution.
  • Ensure accurate MIS, reporting, and documentation of affinity business.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Lead - Affinity Business should have:

  • A strong background in the insurance industry, preferably in insurance broking.
  • Proven expertise in managing and growing business portfolios.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic business plans.
  • Experience in building and maintaining client relationships.
