Job Description

1. Investment Strategy & Capital Allocation

· Develop and implement long-term capital allocation strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives

· Identify and evaluate investment opportunities across transmission networks, substations and grid modernization.

· Support strategic planning and expansion initiatives

2. Financial Analysis & Project Evaluation

· Build and review complex financial models for infrastructure projects

· Conduct feasibility studies including IRR, NPV, DSCR, and sensitivity analysis

· Assess project risks, returns, and financial viability

3. Financing & Capital Raising

· Lead debt fundraising activities from banks, financial institutions, infrastructure funds, and capital markets

· Structure financing solutions to optimize cost of capital

· Support bond issuances and other capital market transactions

4. M&A and Strategic Transactions

· Evaluate acquisition and divestment opportunities

· Conduct financial, commercial, and strategic due diligence

· Support deal negotiations and execution

5. Regulatory & Market Analysis

· Monitor regulatory and tariff developments impacting the power sector

· Analyze implications of policy changes on project economics and investment decisions

6. Stakeholder Management & Reporting

· Prepare investment memos, board presentations, and investor communications

· Engage with lenders, investors, rating agencies, and internal stakeholders

· Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership

7. Portfolio Monitoring

· Track performance of operational and under-construction assets

· Identify underperformance drivers and recommend corrective actions

Ensure alignment of asset performance with approved business plans

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications

  • CA, CFA, MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification



Experience

15-20 years of experience in: Infrastructure, project finance, Investment management at corporate finance, Strategic investments

  • Industry exposure preferred in:



o Power transmission

o Infrastructure sector

  • Proven track record in:



o Fundraising and financial closure

o Project financing and structuring

o M&A transactions

o Senior-level stakeholder engagementTechnical Skills

  • Advanced financial modelling and valuation techniques
  • Expertise in project finance and debt structuring
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and tariff mechanisms
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, and financial analytics platforms

  • Achievement of target project IRRs and investment returns
  • Successful financial closure of projects within timelines
  • Optimization of cost of capital
