Our client is a diversified domestic trading organization with a strong presence in commodity markets. As part of its growth strategy, the firm is expanding its Base Metals vertical and is looking to build a high-performing team to strengthen its position in the industry.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute business strategies to drive growth and expand the organization's presence in the Base Metals market.
  • Build and manage relationships with dealers, suppliers, customers, banks, financial institutions, and other key market participants across the metals ecosystem.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to drive revenue growth across domestic and international markets.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing movements, supply-demand dynamics, and regulatory developments impacting the Base Metals industry.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and manage key customer and supplier relationships to maximize business performance and profitability.



The Successful Applicant

  • 8-15 years of experience in Base Metals, commodity trading, refining, metals distribution, or related commercial and trading roles.
  • Strong understanding of metals markets, pricing mechanisms, supply-demand dynamics, and key industry participants across the Base Metals ecosystem.
  • Proven track record in business development, relationship management, sales, trading support, or commercial roles within the metals or commodities sector.
  • Established network across traders, refiners, manufacturers, banks, commodity firms, and institutional customers.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities, negotiate deals, and drive revenue growth.
  • Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a market environment.
