The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) will be responsible for defining, executing, and overseeing the firm's investment philosophy, strategy, and portfolio construction across client segments.

Job Description

Investment Strategy & Governance

  • Develop and maintain the firm's investment philosophy, framework, and asset allocation models.
  • Establish investment policies, guidelines, and risk management standards across strategies.
  • Ensure consistency and discipline in portfolio construction and rebalancing.



Portfolio Management & Research

  • Oversee portfolio performance across client segments.
  • Lead macroeconomic, capital markets, and manager research.
  • Monitor performance attribution and risk metrics versus benchmarks.



Client Advisory & Engagement

  • Act as a trusted investment advisor to key clients and prospects.
  • Participate in high-value client meetings to explain investment views, performance, and strategy.
  • Support client retention and acquisition through differentiated investment insights.
  • Represent the firm as a thought leader through publications, presentations, and media interactions.



Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing investment research and portfolio management team.
  • Foster a strong investment culture focused on rigor, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Set performance objectives and support career development within the investment team.



Business & Strategic Contribution

  • Collaborate with leadership on product development and new investment offerings.
  • Support strategic growth initiatives, including new client segments and geographies.
  • Contribute to firm-wide strategic planning and leadership discussions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful applicant for the CIO role should have -

  • Experience Required - 10 to 15 years of experience in private markets investing for a private equity/venture capital fund or family office in India
  • Educational background - Has completed their education from a Tier-1 institute
  • Significant experience leading investment strategy and portfolio management
  • Strong track record across multiple market cycles
