• Lead Cloud Migration: Drive the transition of data center-based infrastructure to AWS, focusing on containerization and the migration of up to 40 servers.
• Architecture & Design: Collaborate with software engineers and architects to design cloud-based solutions that are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.

Technical

• Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with AWS services, including Amazon ECS, Amazon RDS (with Aurora Serverless), Amazon S3, and AWS SQS
• Performance & Scalability: Proven ability to design and implement high-performance, scalable systems, ensuring applications can handle high loads and meet business needs.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Proficiency in Docker, ECS, Fargate, and container orchestration for deploying cloud-based applications.
• CI/CD & Automation: Hands-on experience with GitLab CI, EC2-based runners, and automation tools like Renovate Bot and Semantic Release to streamline
• Security & Compliance: Implementing best practices and company policies, working with e.g. AWS Security Hub
• Infrastructure as Code: AWS CDK, TypeScript, knowledge of Terraform welcome
• Database & Storage: Experience managing cloud-based databases, schema management, and scalable storage solutions like Amazon S3.
• Monitoring & Observability: Familiarity with Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog and OpenTelemetry for hybrid application monitoring and performance optimization.
• Software Engineering: Java, Maven, Sprint Boot experience is welcome

• At least 5 years of experience in design and development of software, experience with large multinational organisations is highly preferred.

Your Responsibilities

• Architecture and Design: Work with software engineers and architects to make cloud architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance of the platform.
• Process Improvement: Review and optimize cloud-related processes, ensuring smooth transitions and continuous improvement.
• Security Implementation: Evaluate, discuss, and implement security requirements, ensuring compliance with best practices for cloud applications.
• Concept Creation: Design cloud concepts focusing on scalability, security, and performance to meet business requirements.
• Documentation: Create clear and maintainable documentation to ensure transparency, effective knowledge transfer, and ease of operation in the cloud environment.

• Scripting & Configuration Management: Familiarity with AWS Lambda, Liquibase for schema management, and experience with configuration management for scalable cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with software solutions in cloud environments.
