Job Description

  • Lead the annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning cycle in coordination with local and global stakeholders, incorporating multiple business scenarios.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant premium reporting to IRDAI and IIB in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct granular expense analysis at GL and cost-centre level; lead periodic cost review forums across all business units.
  • Working with stakeholders on long term plan of the organization.
  • Ensure end-to-end financial reporting, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and IRDAI/GAAP/Ind-AS standards.
  • Establish and maintain robust data validation controls ; drive automation where applicable.
  • Indepth Industry analysis on regular basis.
  • Partner with the CFO, CEO, and Leadership team to finalize, validate, and present key business performance metrics and financial reports.
  • Drive ongoing budget monitoring and variance analysis across headcount, costs, and business KPIs; provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Monitor and report on solvency margins and capital adequacy ratios; flag risks and ensure regulatory thresholds are maintained at all times.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive MIS framework to support business reviews at the management and board level.
  • Lead the digitization and automation of financial reporting processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Serve as the primary finance business partner for strategic initiatives, new product launches, and M&A assessments.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong analytical skills and in-depth knowledge of business.
  • Proven ability to implement internal controls, ensure compliance, and deliver accurate reporting.
  • Skilled in team leadership, process standardization, and driving efficiency through automation and system improvements.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and the ability to effectively coordinate across senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate financial data into business insights and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and BI tools, Anaplan.
  • Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple stakeholders.
