Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end operations across Branch Operations, Central Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Policy Servicing, Customer Service, and Process Excellence.
  • Drive operational efficiency, service quality, and productivity improvements across all functions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of underwriting, claims, and policy servicing transactions.
  • Enhance customer experience through SLA adherence, complaint resolution, and service excellence initiatives.
  • Champion process optimization, automation, and digital transformation programs.
  • Establish strong governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Monitor operational KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and drive performance outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Distribution, Product, Technology, Risk, and Finance teams to support business growth.
  • Lead and develop high-performing operations teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure scalable operating models that support organizational growth and customer-centricity.

The Successful Applicant

  • 17-20 years of experience in Operations, with significant leadership experience in the Life Insurance industry preferred.
  • Proven track record of leading multiple operational functions including Claims, Underwriting, Policy Servicing, Customer Service, Branch Operations, and Central Operations.
  • Strong understanding of life insurance operations, customer lifecycle management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in driving operational excellence, process transformation, and digitalization initiatives.
  • Experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams and driving a high-performance culture.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Distribution, Product, Technology, Risk, and Finance functions.
  • Expertise in developing and monitoring operational KPIs, service standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to improve customer experience while balancing risk, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Exposure to Lean Six Sigma, automation, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with a customer-centric mindset.
