The Vice President will be responsible for working across the investment cycle including evaluating investment opportunities, carrying out valuations and due diligence, negotiating term sheets and investment agreements, portfolio monitoring and work towards exit with the deal captain.

Our client is a leading climate private equity fund that provides global investors an opportunity to invest in the Indian green infrastructure, alongside a global industrial leader and established regional fund manager

Job Description

Support in deal sourcing and preliminary investment evaluation for fitment with investment strategy and develop investment thesis.

Reviewing company analysis & industry analysis prepared by the Analyst and evaluating opportunities including valuations.

Reviewing and modifying detailed business models and verifying assumptions before presenting data to senior management

Negotiating term sheets before completion of deals

Liaising with external consultants / agencies for carrying out legal and financial documentation and other formalities

Negotiating investment documents

Monitoring performance of the company's post-investment, working with portfolio companies, to drive strategy, growth, fund raise, etc.

All fund related compliance with respect to portfolio companies.

The Successful Applicant

At least 7-8 years overall experience; CA/MBA (Finance) from a reputable institute / university o 4-5 years focussed on investment in industrial/services - non-FS sector in India o Exposure to infrastructure deals would be an added skill

Should have actively worked on transactions across sectors; understand of various technical and commercial aspects

Experience in leading due diligence; understanding of legal documentation / structuring

Should be able to build new sector thesis and identify & originate deal targets * Ability to lead, negotiate and structure the transactions independently (end to end)

Experience in portfolio management required

AVP / VP at sell side domestic IB

Corporate finance and M&A of any large conglomerate

Excellent written and spoken communication skills

First-rate financial modelling skills, with a strong grasp of fundamental accounting and valuation concepts

Team Player with ability to liaise and build excellent rapport within the organization as well as external stakeholders.

Good organizing and query handling capabilities
