Job Description



  • Financial Reporting: Overseeing the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS and regulatory requirements.


  • Month-End and Year-End Closures: Managing the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the reconciliation of accounts and the preparation of consolidated financial reports.


  • Audit Coordination: Leading the coordination of internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records and processes meet the highest standards of accuracy and transparency.


  • Internal Controls: Establishing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.


  • Tax Compliance: Managing tax reporting and compliance, including the preparation of tax returns and the implementation of tax strategies.


  • Accounting Policy Development: Developing and updating accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.


  • Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring the accounting team, ensuring continuous development, and maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency in all accounting operations.



The Successful Applicant



  • Extensive Experience: A strong background in accounting and finance, with at least 15-20 years of experience in progressively senior roles, ideally within the real estate or property management sector.


  • Expertise in Financial Reporting: Deep knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and a proven track record in managing complex financial reporting, audits, and compliance in large organisations.


  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing accounting teams, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.


  • Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, provide insights, and make strategic recommendations to senior management.


  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to financial management, ensuring the accuracy of financial records and the integrity of financial controls.


  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives, auditors, and regulatory bodies.


  • Professional Qualifications: A CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification is highly preferred, along with a strong educational background in finance or accounting.


  • Adaptability and Integrity: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and financial integrity.
