Job Description

  • Manage Quality Engineers both internally and from external vendors
  • Develop and mature the automation strategy across using best practice and techniques
  • Take full responsibility for the planning and management of all quality engineering activities within complex IT Programmes, product centric delivery teams, combining effort with IT staff and users and evaluating risk potential based on the results of the testing during all stages of development in line with the approved lifecycles and the Quality Gate process.
  • Deliver project documentation at implementation including Portfolio Strategy, Master Test Strategy, Test Completion Reports in line with the Testing Practice template set
  • Monitor and control the testing effort and records and publish testing metrics required to manage the testing activities
  • Manage all third party testing personnel from preferred vendors
    • Creation, review and execution of Test Scripts in approved test tools
    • Track, review and conclude defects in approved test tools responsible for sign off of allocated test tasks
    • Test left and Automation across development teams
  • Operate as a specialist and consultant on all aspects of Quality Engineering and give advice to both users and IT management to determine the most appropriate testing and Quality strategies for projects

The Successful Applicant

  • Candidate must be well versed in API/Microservice led testing strategy
  • Candidate must have strong integration testing experience demonstrating complex IT systems
  • Candidate must have strong SQL / Oracle skills
  • Experience in Automation tools both Open source and Market tools
  • Exposure to source control tools such as Teamcity/GIT/Bitbucket
  • Experience of implementing automation into projects
  • Customer focused, product centric delivery focus
  • Experience of 5-15 years
  • Relevant experience should not be less than 4 years
  • LOADRUNNER experience is must
  • Master on managing all aspects of testing (Integration, system, end to end and regression. Non-Functional testing)
