Job Description

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Oversee all legal operations, including compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Draft, vet, and negotiate high-value contracts, agreements with vendors, contractors, EPC partners, distributors, etc.
  • Provide legal counsel to management on matters related to the property and building materials industries.
  • Manage and resolve disputes, liase with external legal counsel and regulatory authorities as needed.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations and advise on their potential impact on the company.
  • Implement risk management strategies to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Lead and mentor the legal team across corporate and manufacturing units.
  • Advise top management on legal issues and ensure compliance with legal, statutory, and regulatory frameworks.

The Successful Applicant

An ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in law from a recognised institution with 18+ yrs. of experience with some years purely in a manufacturing setup.
  • Fluency in Tamil(verbal and written) is critical. Knowledge of Telugu and Hindi would be a plus.
  • Open to travel, as and when required.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Strong contract negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and provide sound legal advice.
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
