Job Description

Business Strategy & P&L Ownership

  • Develop and implement strategies for grains and pulses.
  • Take full ownership of P&L, growth targets, and profitability.



Commodity Trading

  • Oversee end-to-end trading operations: procurement, pricing, sales, and risk management for domestic and export markets.



Sourcing & Vendor Development

  • Build a robust supply chain, identify quality suppliers, and negotiate favourable contracts.



Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams (procurement, sales, logistics, operations).
  • Drive a culture of accountability and performance.



Market Intelligence & Decision Making

  • Analyze market trends, pricing, and competitor strategies.
  • Provide accurate forecasts and make informed decisions.



Customer & Channel Development

  • Expand distribution channels and acquire key accounts.
  • Build strong B2B and institutional relationships.



Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, export norms, and internal policies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Candidate should have:

  • 12-18 years of experience in agri-commodity trading
  • Strong exposure to domestic and international markets, including procurement, pricing, and risk management
  • Ability to drive P&L, develop growth strategies, and lead market expansion
  • Skilled in vendor development and cost optimization
  • Experience in building and mentoring high-performing teams
  • High accountability, adaptability, and compliance orientation
