Job Description

The key responsibilities include:

  • Team Management:
    • Supervise, guide, and motivate a team of area managers and sales executives.
    • Conduct joint field work, coaching, and performance reviews.
    • Ensure achievement of individual and team targets.
  • Sales & Target Achievement:
    • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
    • Monitor product-wise and territory-wise sales performance.
    • Analyze competitor activities and market trends.
  • Market Development:
    • Identify new business opportunities, doctor conversions, and market gaps.
    • Implement marketing and promotional strategies effectively.
    • Organize CMEs, doctor meets, and product awareness activities.
  • Distribution & Stockist Management:
    • Manage relationships with stockists, distributors, and chemists.
    • Ensure availability of key products and monitor inventory levels.
    • Resolve supply chain or billing issues in coordination with supply/logistics.
  • Reporting & Compliance:
    • Maintain accurate and timely reports on CRM/sales systems.
    • Ensure team adherence to company policies, ethical practices, and compliance norms.

The Successful Applicant

  • Education: B.Pharm / B.Sc. / M.Sc. / MBA (Pharma Marketing preferred)
  • Experience: 12+ years in pharmaceutical sales with at least 5 years in a team-leading role.
  • Therapy Areas: Experience in [e.g., General, Cardio-diabetic, Ortho, Gynae, or relevant formulations segment].
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Data-driven decision-making and problem-solving.
    • Good geographical knowledge of the assigned territory.
